faq - frequently asked questions

Since I restored my computer I can no longer open REDFIN. What do I do?

This is an error in the Microsoft handling of applications after a system restore.

You can easily fix this problem yourself by deleting everything in the "ClickOnce" folder on your computer (this will delete every trace of REDFIN) and then install REDFIN again by downloading it from ludesi.com/download.

Do delete this folder, you:

  1. Open windows explorer (the regular file manager - just hold the "windows" key and press the "e" key on the keyboard)
  2. Paste or type "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Apps" into the address field (this is a system folder that knows where your personal files are)
  3. Delete everything there! (should just be a 2.0 folder)

Now the system is in a clean state and you can install REDFIN again.

Note, that this does not mean you are going to lose your work, as all your data is securely backed up to Ludesi's servers. As soon as you log in to your account you can download the data of your projects, just as you left them, back to your computer, simply by clicking on the different project names.
