Ludesi Presents Latest 2D Gel Image Analysis Technology and Research Results for 2D Gel Data Quality at US HUPO 2008

US HUPO 2008, Bethesda, MD – March 17, 2007 – Ludesi, Inc. provider of the industry-leading Image Analysis Service for 2-dimensional electrophoresis gels, will be demonstrating its latest REDFIN Image and Data Management software at the 4th Annual HUPO Conference 2008 being held this March 16 - 19, 2008, in Bethesda, Maryland. This study has defined the concept of “Combined Correctness”, now rapidly gaining acceptance in the proteomics community as the suggested standard metric for 2D gel data quality. The study results indicate that a measurement based on the evaluation of the correctness of spot detection and spot matching (“Combined Correctness) provides a good indication of the correctness and completeness of the results from 2D gel image analysis.
