Problems opening REDFIN?
Posted by ludesi in Tips and Tricks
If you haven’t updated your computer in a while you may be experiencing problems with opening REDFIN.
What is going on?
Unfortunately, some users are not able to get the update for the latest version of Ludesi REDFIN. Upon launching Ludesi REDFIN, this message box appears:

Why?
Short story:
Microsoft Windows has not been properly updated.
Longer story:
For security reasons we are required on a yearly basis to update the keys we use to “sign” the application with. Microsoft has released updates to the .NET framework that accepts new keys to be used when signing an application. Older versions of the .NET framework do not recognize applications that have been signed with new keys – only the latest version which is .NET 3.5.
What do I do?
You have two options, we strongly recommend the first one.
Option 1: Run Windows Update and install all required updates.
a) Windows update is available from the Start button

b) Just run all updates available. The important one is for the .NET Framework:
![]()
c) Restart the computer. Ludesi REDFIN should now start as usual.
Option 2: Uninstall and re-install Ludesi REDFIN 3
Please note that this will not give you the latest version of the .NET Framework, which is required for full use of Ludesi REDFIN.
a) Uninstall from “add/remove programs” in the control panel
b) Install fromwww.ludesi.com/download
If neither of these options works for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at support@ludesi.com.
