First REDFIN Solo Screenshots!

Posted by ludesi in News

The development of REDFIN Solo has been progressing really nicely and we’re so excited about it that we want to post some initial screenshots to give you a feel for what’s to come.

For those of you who are new to the blog, REDFIN Solo is the new 2D gel image analysis software from Ludesi for an independent in-house analysis. It will be incorporated into the existing REDFIN software (which you can download for free at www.ludesi.com/download) and offered as a third analysis option in the software, alongside the Ludesi Basic and Pro analysis services. That way you have the flexibility of choosing on a project-by-project basis if you want to analyze the gels yourself or send them off for analysis.

In keeping with the style of REDFIN, REDFIN Solo has been designed to be very easy and intuitive to use and you get guided through a simple analysis workflow in a step-be-step wizard.

Without going into too much detail, here are some impressions:

The Submit page in REDFIN. Now you can choose between sending your images off to Ludesi Analysis Center and performing the analysis yourself in-house using REDFIN Solo.

Spot Detection step in the REDFIN Solo analysis wizard. This step is optional, but if you want to, you can instantly increase or decrease the number spots detected using a simple slider. You can also draw an area to exclude certain areas in the gel.

A very nice feature in REDFIN Solo is that you don’t have to commit to paying your $30 per gel until you have seen the analysis results and are sure that the data is useable. So you don’t have to commit to paying until you pass a final review stage at the end of the wizard. If you are happy with what you see, you can purchase your analysis credits and your image analysis data will be available in the REDFIN results viewer. If not, you can simply abort the analysis and no money has been spent.

Our beta testers will be getting free access to REDFIN Solo in only a few weeks time. If you would also like to be a beta tester (and have a brand new image analysis software completely for free for one month…) you can still sign up at www.ludesi.com/coming-soon. But hurry, as there are only a few more places left!
